Warranty on planting services
Timely excellent service is what our company is all about. We value you as a client and realize that your satisfaction is crucial to earning your future business and your referrals. An important part of establishing long-term relationships with our clients begins with good communications, so please allow us to explain some special circumstances of doing business in the green industry.
Plants are living and require maintenance and care to a varying degree!
Keeping it simple here: all plants need proper watering - this is the single most important thing to ensure planting success!!! Period!
In the long term they may need pest and disease management even if we are planting low maintenance plants simply because of the hot and humid climate in the region.
The plants we are installing in your garden are sourced from local reputable wholesale nurseries and garden centers. They have grown locally (they are not from large home improvement stores, since they often source plants from out of state). They are up to NC nursery standards, as far as size/ container, true to labeling, grown healthy, inspected to be insect and disease free, with developed root system for the size, showing appropriate seasonal characteristics.
Our company provides and guaranties the service of hand selecting plants from the nursery, the safe delivery, and professional installation with above industry standards. Furthermore, providing you with a consultation time at installation, on general maintenance guidelines and care tips.
Once your landscape is installed you will have the responsibility for caring for your plants.
Maintaining your new landscape is not difficult. Plants want to live. When your project is completed, we will talk to you about general plant care, guidelines, and program your irrigation controller. Simply refer to our tips and if you have any questions please call. Should you start noticing plant decline such as wilting, leaf drop, discoloration, insect infestation, etc, email us with pictures immediately. This allows us to quickly determine possible causes of plant stress and recommend possible solutions, typically paired with a site visit service provided by us - per request.
If you wish to keep your landscape looking its best and do not have time or knowledge to devote to plant care, please consider one of our professional landscape maintenance programs.
Our programs are custom designed to meet the needs and preferences of each client, they can be monthly visits, or seasonal work as needed or larger installation projects site visits to ensure proper watering techniques (what are the single most important thing after new plantings).
For pesticide applications we can recommend pesticide companies whom are specialized to care for your plants!
Occasionally random plants will not establish good and die (mostly in mid-summer season installations or in use of non-containerized, B&B plant materials which we advise to avoid). We will gladly replace them at no charge.
We have a limited 30 day replacement guarantee (up to 10 % of planted plants- over that we consider it a neglect of maintenance). Plant materials that fail will be replaced as soon as they become available in the same container size as was planted originally and as quickly as our schedule permits (typically during fall or spring seasons to best ensure rooting well) and one time.
Furthermore, we guarantee to replace, once, any plant installed by Colorful Gardens, LLC that will not emerge by beginning of May, if installed between mid-November-mid April. This is mainly because plants installed in the late fall and winter will not have leaves/ perennials only have roots and we understand that it is hard to have faith on the plants and for you it is hard to inspect the plants for health and vigor.
Reasonable growing conditions must be maintained as provision of the warranty on all circumstances, including automated irrigation, insect and disease control, and shelter from unreasonable damage by pets or pedestrians.
What is not included in our warranty
• Vandalism or acts of God including hail, ice storms, early and late season severe freezes, damaging winds, pet or pedestrian damage, theft, etc.
• Plants not watered by an automated irrigation system, system must be working and set to be watering per plant seasonal need
• Plants that are damaged or die because of insect infestation or disease, deer, vole damage
